Just wanted to let you know about an event being held in July this year to raise funds for research into Alzheimers. Here's the blurb from their site:
PERTH SCRAPS FOR ALZHEIMER’S RESEARCH
‘Scrapbooking preserves memories – Alzheimer’s destroys them’
A group of memory preserving Papercrafters and Scrapbookers in Western Australia have joined together with the McCusker Foundation for Alzheimer’s Disease Research Inc. to organise the 2nd scrap-IT!! for Alzheimer’s Research fundraising event on Sunday 27th July 2008 in Perth Western Australia. The event aims to bring together 300 Scrappers to raise vital funds for the McCusker Foundation for Alzheimer’s Disease Research.

This has brought tears to my eyes - so glad to see this being done - my dad had Alzheimers - I made him a memory book and mum and I used to go through it with him, chatting about the photos - very precious.
