Jesus, the true meaning of Christmas

It is my turn to set the challenge this week at SALT. This time it is

Jesus, the true meaning of Christmas.

So, all my life I have wanted an Advent calender. What does that have to do with Jesus??? Well, I made this one for my children and...

In each of the drawers they will find either part of a Bible verse which we stick on the fridge and make the complete verse, or they find some other little treasure. They love it and look forward to opening the drawers each day!

Blessings, Casey

(p.s. This design is from a pattern in Scrapbook Creations Vol 48)

This is a lovely way of doing an advent calendar, Casey - I love it - and so special to collect the verses etc out of the drawers - I'm sure they are being enjoyed. Thanks for a super challenge.

Love it Casey and a great way to help your children focus on the real reason for Christmas. I know that when my kids were little, we made bon bons and put in verses of scripture, and then we would read the Christmas story before we had our meal. Love checking out your beautiful creations.
